Super Laundry Powder - recipe...

PREP: 10mins

INGREDIENTS
1 bar of Sard Wonder Soap
2 bars of Pure Soap
2 cups of Borax
3 cups of Lectric Washing Soda

Grate the bars of soap very fine, either by hand or in your food processor. Crush the Lectric Soda a bit (while it is still in the packet) to break up some of the larger crystals. Mix all ingredients together. That is it. Store the powder in an airtight container and use one tablespoon per load.

NOTE:
* You can use generic brand soap if you wish
* You can use 3 bars of pure soap, I like to use 1 Sard Wonder Soap bar because it has stain removing qualities. (If you use only pure soap it will cut the price down to about $6 to make the powder)
*There is no need to use fabric softener with this powder, as the washing soda actually acts as a softener. This saves you more money.
* Always make sure your water level is set correctly so the powder has enough water to dissolve in.
* You can dissolve the powder in a cup of warm water before adding it to your load if you wish.
* All of these ingredients can be found in the 'laundry aisle' of your supermarket.

NOTE: Borax is a product that should be handled with care, kept out of reach of children and stored safely.

A few people have requested the recipe for this awesome washing powder..... I LOVE IT! I got it from www.savingmum.com.au Look there for other excellent ideas!

I can't find borax, it isn't in Coles or WW down here, I have got the other stuff from when you mentioned it before. Do you know where else you could get it from?
Thanks Bianca.
