Being creative

stamping

I was a little creative with the pikelets we had for tea that night too. Nick went to a meeting so this is what the kids and I had. Unfortunately the kids were terrible to get to bed that night. They always play up when Nicks away!!!

I love hanging out with my Ollie. I had fun cutting potato stamps out while Ollie created this beautiful picture. He doesnt have a long attention span but we manage to accomplish something.

Garden Party

Chocolate freckle cupcakes

key lime cupcakes with cream cheese icing

Scarlett's school had a Garden Party. A Garden Party is a school fair or fate. I donated some cupcakes for the desert stand. I spent nearly all day making them but they did taste really good. The older kids did a maypole dance but Ollie and Scarlett were too tired for us to stay for it. Scarlett wanted a photo of her coloured hair and painted face before we washed them off for school the next day. Being a school mum is so different to being a school teacher. Why didn't someone warn me how insane it is? Getting up early to make lunch, get clothes ready by making sure they are clean. Keeping up to date with everything that happens each week (assemblies, free dress days, homework etc), getting to school on time and the MONEY! Free dress days, garden parties, hot cross buns.........

Love it when they are like this!

seaspray

We went to Seaspray a couple of weekends ago. It is a little town on the coast much closer than lakes entrance. It was way to windy and cool to swim but we had so much fun on the sand. Some of the kids who we think were locals were fishing. This friendly boy showed us one of the fish he caught.

Local

Our local park by the lake.

This is Lakes Entrance. You have to walk over the bridge to get to the beach. This is one of the areas in Nicks project. When the sea levels rise the whole town will go under!
